Saturn car has serviced me well for the past seven years. after graduating high school, i needed to find a job to help pay off my college expenses. a friend helped me get a job at the local blockbuster where i made $3.94/hour. after the separation of my parents, my sister and brother went to live with our mother while i stayed with my father in skokie. at this time, we had to sell our house and move to an apartment on the other side of city.
as the days went on, the need for a car loomed. i couldn't walk to work anymore and finding rides to church, uic, and work was getting cumbersome. it was in the spring of 94 when i decided on a simple medium red saturn i've gone through a lot with this car. this faithful saturn has serviced me and others for 120,000 miles. i promised myself i would run it to the ground....i just wished i had that opportunity.
some of you are wondering if i'm being melodramatic, but this car has meant so much to me and has been a testament to the blood, sweat, and tears I've shed the past seven years.. my saturn wasn't flashy nor was it powerful, but it reflected simplicity and dependability.
